Engagement

The West Yorkshire ICB need to make sure that plans for local health services are discussed
with those who may be affected – and that’s where VAC’s Engagement programmes can help.

VAC currently run two local Engagement Programmes:

Calderdale

Engagement Champions (In partnership with the West Yorkshire ICB).

Kirklees

Community Voices (In partnership with the West Yorkshire ICB).

Engagement Champions and Community Voices give local communities a say when changes to local health services are being considered. It’s a really important role in times of change so that the health services we all receive in the future are shaped by local people’s views.

Quality 4 Health + Wellbeing

Quality 4 Health

+ Wellbeing

Quality 4 Health + Wellbeing is the accreditation for any group or organisation delivering or looking to deliver health and wellbeing services. This external verification of service delivery demonstrates to social prescribers,
funders and people using services that your organisation delivers to a high standard and follows best practice.
Multiple levels ensure it is reasonable, practicable and proportionate for all sizes of organisations; from small community based groups to larger established organisations.

Our world is changing rapidly and Quality 4 Health + Wellbeing is here to enable the Voluntary Community and Social Enterprise Sector to become integral to local provision for the benefit of local people.

Quality 4 Health + Wellbeing has its own website with more information about the accreditation: www.qualityforhealth.org.uk.

Calipso

Calipso is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) that will tender for and manage public sector contracts on behalf of consortia of local voluntary and community organisations. It has been set up to enable Calderdale’s voluntary and community sector to respond to the emerging preference on the part of local commissioners to have fewer or single contracts with a consortia /supply chain of providers.

Organisations can request a copy of the Calipso prospectus to help them decide if membership is the right thing for them. The prospectus gives insight into why Calipso was formed. Copies of the prospectus can be requested via email on info@cvac.org.uk or call 01422 348777 or leave us your message below:
